The name
The call of a name back to itself
In Hawaiian, the letter e is a call of affection and honor. Placed before a name, it summons a person back to themselves with the full weight of who they are.
Kalani comes from the founder, David Kalani, whose full name means beloved royal one of heaven. As a boy in Silicon Valley who already felt different, he buried that name in fifth grade and went by David alone. Years later, in the hard work of healing, he finally learned what it meant, and receiving it changed everything.
eKalani is the call of a name back to itself. Every brand in this movement exists to make that call over someone else.
